A Short Selection of insect poems.

                 Hug a Bug!

A little insect climbed up on me

“hello, little bug, what do you see?”

He was so tiny, he was so small,

I wondered if he could see me at all.

Was I a mountain, he wanted to view?

A new place to go, just something to do?

What did he think when I moved and talked?

Was I an earthquake, a giant who walked?

Would he tell his friends about his day?

When he met a huge creature in his way?

It would be nice to give a pat and a hug,

but hard to do since he was just a bug.
