This is a story about finding love in the most unexpected places. It is about how we can have preconceived notions of what love is or isn’t.

     Dave Prentiss is Ella’s friend who works for the FBI. He offers to run the prints of the men she dates, through the fingerprint database, to screen out the undesirables.  Ella goes on many dates. Some of her dates are disappointing, some of them are hysterical. All of them have something to teach. Will the results be what she had hoped for? Will Ella ever find the right guy or will her dating history be forever Grimm?

     Throughout the 35,000 word, story there are several people based on Fairytale and Medieval figures that describe the different personality types. There is drama, comedy, excitement and inspiration.

The Black Knight: Blackie was vain and self-centered.

The Pauper and the Pea: Pete had an obsessive-compulsive disorder.

The Dragon: Gar’s family owned an Italian restaurant.

The Gypsy: Travis was afraid of commitment.

The Jester: Larry was a practical joker.

A Hard Dazed Knight: Al was addicted to alcohol.

The Swordsman: Jon used sarcasm.

The Blacksmith: Zeus was an iron man with a poet’s soul.

The Glazier: Art was a glass man with a heart of ice.

The Physician: Edward was a medical man with a case of the snobs.

The Minstrel: Timothy was unassuming but with the roar of a lion.

The Gong Farmer: Paul had a ‘crappy’ part time job.

The Chaplain:  Joe was a church guy.

The Messenger: Mike was a bicycle courier.

The Queen of Harts: Stephen Hart was a gay hairstylist.

The King of Diamonds: Ken would woo young women with jewelry.

The Jack of Spades: Jack was a hunky, young gardener.

The Ogre: Gregory was obnoxious.

The Magician: Merl was a liar and a manipulator.

The Wolf: Louis was a French, lady’s man.

The Watchman: He stalked his prey then shot to kill.
